Son of Grigol Varlamishvili and Rosa Paliashvili
Felix Varlamishvili (Varla) was born in Kutaisi, Georgia in 1903.
He studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts from 1922 till 1926 , the same year (1926) he founded a private art school in Tbilisi, Georgia
In 1928 moved to France and in 1933 had his first personal exhibition in Gallery Speranza in Paris.
In 1934 Felix Varlamashivili (Varla) married Danish painter Zire Binder
Between 1948 and 1952 the artist lived and worked in Argentina.
In 1952 Felix Varlamashivili (Varla) came back to Paris, where he passed away at the age of 83 on 6th of February in 1986.
Felix Varlamishvili (Varla) was buried on the territory of Georgian cemetery in Leuville-sur-Orge, France and as his will Zire Binder donated 10 paintings of Varla to the Museum of Fine Arts of Georgia
